History

Hildenborough Badminton Club was founded in January 1972 following members of the local tennis club lobbying for a badminton court to be marked out in the new village hall. 40 members signed up, paying £6.50 annual membership and continued to play in the village hall and church hall until 1994.

In 1994 following a narrow majority vote from the members the club moved to Sackville School where there was an immediate impact of club nights being better attended and league results improving. At that time the junior section was restarted.

In 2008 Sackville School terminated all tenancies and the club moved to Hugh Christie School where the club still plays its club nights.

In 2015 the club started to play some of its matches at Walthamstow Hall School in Sevenoaks and the following season, started to play all of its matches there.
